Vacation, May 2010

I don't actually know why I haven't posted my Missouri vacation tweets to this blog until now. In May 2010, my niece decided to get married in Branson, Missouri, near her and her fiance's school. She had graduated from art college the week before. My parents, her paternal grandparents, decided to drive to Arkansas and Missouri to take in both events. Since it was a christian art college, I decided to skip that ceremony, but I thought it'd be nice to be there for the first third-generation wedding in the family. My brother, the father of the bride, and his wife's family would be there, and at least 1 member of my sister's family of 5 would be there.

Unfortunately, I was unemployed at the time (still am, in fact), so my budget was extremely limited. I decided I couldn't afford to make the trip if I couldn't share a room with my parents. They reluctantly agreed, but I had no say in anything, they still being my parents, I guess. So we stayed in a Motel 8 only because they are big Motel 8 fans, non-smoking (I smoke, they don't anymore), with two standard-size beds. Now my parents share a bed at their home, but apparently they like to spread out away from home, so they didn't want to give me one of the beds! They wondered if I could rent a cot (not available), and even considered me sharing one of the beds with my mother! Luckily, my brother showed up the first day with an inflatable mattress!

The blog for this week-long vacation starts here: Sunday 9 May 2010 and continues through the week:
Monday 10 May 2010
Tuesday 11 May 2010
Wednesday 12 May 2010
Thursday 13 May 2010
Friday 14 May 2010
Saturday 15 May 2010
Sunday 16 May 2010
Monday 17 May 2010

Since yet another day got lost, the actual posts are out of order, and the filenames of the actual posts have the wrong date on them.
